Let's begin. I'm getting excited just writing this post!
This has been on my to-do list for sometime. A few years ago I went bungee jumping and I was surprised that I actually jumped when I got up there. But jump I did, and I'm thinking, I really want to jump off a plane! Mainly because I really want to experience 'flying' or rather dropping really, really fast if feels like flying.
In Spain it costs between Euro185 - Euro280 for a 10,000 feet jump - a height I'm totally cool with :D

Ever since I watched A Walk in the Clouds years ago, I have been wanting to stomp on grapes. This year I am going to make this happen. Grapes beware.
When is this happening?
So I found out that Spain has a yearly wine harvest festival called Fiestas de la Vendimia Riojana / La rioja Wine Festival around the third week of September and Imma going to be there!
Where is this?
It happens in Logroño, La Rioja in the North of Spain. And as far as I know attending the festival is free. But I'm sure they charge you for everything else.
I know, I know, I've been here for two months and I'm still 'learning' at a snails pace. I want to be able to speak conversational Spanish by my birthday in April so that I can at least order my own drinks to get drunk :D
Where to learn? or Donde aprender?
There are loads of great schools that will teach you, but I have the Pimsleur Learn Spanish course and for now I'm sticking to that and talking to Manuel and his family (who only speak Spanish). Come April, I will try and do a video in Spanish to prove that I can speak it! Yeehaa!
Every year I do two detoxes, one in the beginning of the year and one in the middle to cleanse my system and give it a fresh start. However this year what with being in Spain and all, I uhm.. forgot…
Fine. I was lazy. BUT I am determined to keep to this, so come March 1st, I will embark on a 3 day detox.
I've been doing it for a while, so I combine juicing with raw food and some fish (on the last day) and no grains / carbs.
If you're interested in doing one, either google detox recipes or I will post my detox here when I am doing it.
The past year I managed to gain 10 kilos making me the heaviest weight I've ever been. Obviously I'm not happy about this and I plan to get rid of that weight and lower my body fat. After reading Tim Feriss's book The Four Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman I decided to give it a go, and I have lost 3 kilos, dropped 2% in body fat and have lost around 17cms (hips, arms, waist, thighs). Sure it's not as quick as Tim describes (even when I followed the diet strictly) but I'm in no hurry so I don't care as long as I keep losing weight and get to my goal. By the time my birthday rolls around in April, I plan to lose 4 more kilos and drop 3% in fat.

Well no worries, Tim describes the diet in detail here in his blog post How to Lose 20 lbs. of Fat in 30 Days… Without Doing Any Exercise so if you want to try it out, you can (no excuses now Muahahaha!).
What else are you doing?
Well, Manuel bought a kettlebell as Tim had suggested and I must say, I really like it. And my arse is getting tighter, I kid you not. It sits higher on my behind! It isn't cheap, so we bought one for now but plan to get a heavier soon (mostly for him as I am comfortable with the weight).
I also do a lot of stretches, some resistance training and walking. Even though Tim's Low Carb diet says you can lose weight without exercise (and you can) I exercise mainly because it makes me feel better.
One last thing
When I told people I wanted to lose some weight everyone told me I was crazy and that I shouldn't. I am in no way trying to get super skinny, but I know what a healthy weight for my body is and I'm not happy how high my body fat content is. The fat might not show but it's there and that is unhealthy.
So before getting to a weight that is unmanageable and difficult to lose I decided to do it when I still feel in control. I implore you to do the same and not wait till you're 20 - 30 kilos overweight.
So that's it for now
I don't want to overwhelm myself so I've kept the list to a minimum. I might add more to the list as I cross some of the items off.
